Theme: There’s a big difference between niceness and meekness.
Text: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth” (Matthew 3:3-5).
Theme: The Sermon on the Mount is the constitution of God’s Kingdom.
Text: “Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them…You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hidden” (Matt. 5:1-2, 14).
Text: “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Mt 6:33, NASB).
Theme: Prayer is full of paradoxes––seeming contradictions that are only resolved if we pray in the Spirit.
