Fresh Wineskins
Text: Matthew. 9:9-17
Theme: Today, the Father is making us into fresh wineskins for his new wine. And like Matthew, the tax collector, he’s calling you to be a part of his new thing.
Text: Matthew. 9:9-17
Theme: Today, the Father is making us into fresh wineskins for his new wine. And like Matthew, the tax collector, he’s calling you to be a part of his new thing.
Today, we join with Kingdom Life Centre (Park Ridge Baptist Church) to celebrate Paul Jackson and his last service as Senior Pastor.
Paul brings an excellent and inspiring message on Psalm 24.
Texts: “Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, ‘Thus you shall bless the sons of Israel. You shall say to them: The LORD bless you, and keep you; The LORD make His face shine on you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace.’” So they shall invoke [put, set or fix] My name on the sons of Israel, and I then will bless them” (Num. 6:22–27, NASB).
“And He [Jesus] led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. While He was blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven. And they, after worshiping Him, returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and were continually in the temple praising God.” (Lk 24:50–53, NASB).
“The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds” (2 Co 10:4, NIV).
Theme: Proclaiming the Blessing is one of the forgotten spiritual weapons in our arsenal.
Text: “The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped and beaten with rods. After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison, and the jailer was commanded to guard them carefully. When he received these orders, he put them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks.
About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. But Paul shouted, “Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!” The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house” At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his household were baptized. The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God—he and his whole household.(Acts 16:22-34, NIV).
Theme: Stress gives us a unique opportunity to see God’s glory manifested in our difficult situations.
Texts: “How blessed are those who dwell in Your house! They are ever praising You. Selah.” (Ps 84:4, NASB). “After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the LORD and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: “Give thanks to the LORD, for his love endures forever.” As they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated. The Ammonites and Moabites rose up against the men from Mount Seir to destroy and annihilate them. After they finished slaughtering the men from Seir, they helped to destroy one another” (2 Chron. 20:21-23), NIV).
Theme: Praise transforms the atmosphere, welcoming God’s heavenly Kingdom on earth.
Text: “How lovely are Your dwelling places, O LORD of hosts! My soul longed and even yearned for the courts of the LORD; My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God. The bird also has found a house, And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, Even Your altars, O LORD of hosts, My King and my God. How blessed are those who dwell in Your house! They are ever praising You. Selah.” (Ps 84:1-4, NASB)
Theme: Psalm 84 shows us the pathway to a renewed heart and strength.
Text: “Moreover David was greatly distressed because the people spoke of stoning him, for all the people were embittered, each one because of his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God” (1 Sam. 30:6, NASB).
Theme: We are called to shape our environment rather than be shaped by it.
Text: “Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be shown that they all are not of us. But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know. I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it, and because no lie [falsehood] is of the truth...These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to deceive you. As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him” (1 Jn 2:18–21, 26-27).
Theme: The anointing is a precious and costly gift given to every authentic believer in Jesus.

Texts: “The LORD spoke to me again: “Because this people has rejected the gently flowing waters of Shiloah שִׁלֹחַ and rejoices over Rezin and the son of Remaliah, therefore the Lord is about to bring against them the mighty floodwaters of the Euphrates—the king of Assyria with all his pomp. It will overflow all its channels, run over all its banks (Isa. 8:5–7, NIV).
Theme: In an age of noise, God has called us to live a quiet life (1 Thes. 4:11).
Text: “Jesus answered: ‘Watch out that no one deceives [misleads] you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most [many] will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (Matt. 24:4-14, NIV).
Theme: You can guard yourself against deception by following the safeguards the Scripture lays out.
Text: “In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days [ἐπʼ ἐσχάτου τῶν ἡμερῶν] he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs” (Heb. 1:1-4).
Theme: Jesus is the best teacher on the last days, not popular opinion.
Text: “For thus the LORD spoke to me with mighty power and instructed me not to walk in the way of this people, saying, “You are not to say, ‘It is a conspiracy!’ In regard to all that this people call a conspiracy, And you are not to fear what they fear or be in dread of it. “It is the LORD of hosts whom you should regard as holy. And He shall be your fear, And He shall be your dread” (Isa. 8:11–13, NASB; cf. Isa. 7-9).
Theme: The Father is leading us from mere knowledge about things to knowledge of him.

Text: “From now on let no one cause trouble for me, for I bear on my body the brand-marks of Jesus.” – Galatians 6:17
Theme: We do not need to fear in these last days if we fear the Lord.
Text: “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding [and reflecting] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit” (2 Cor. 3:18, NASB).
Theme: You can overcome the Goliath of fear through these four ways.
Text: “Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect” (Romans12:1-2).
Theme: The voice of God transforms you when heard and heeded.
Text: “Nevertheless, David captured the stronghold of Zion, that is the city of David” (2 Sam. 5:7, NASB; cf. 1 Chron. 11:4-9; 2 Samuel 5:1-10; cf. Neh. 6:15).
Theme: You can face the impossible because God’s face shines on you.
Theme: God is teaching us his way to recharge.
Text: “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day” (2 Corinthians 4:16).
